REFERENCES / Further reading

Many people who stumble upon this blog may see no need for this section. However, while writing,  consulting numerous books and referring to them is almost inevitable. The following section lists papers / books consulted while writing this blog.

In reality, this section is a little like bibliography of a paper or a book, but it can also be a useful pointer for further reading. Nevertheless, please keep in mind that this blog is based on my personal notes and some parts of it might be absolutely irrelevant in academic context.

Note on TRANSLATIONS

I have noticed that the Chihayafuru manga/anime/movies bring a lot of readers to this blog, so thetranslations of the Hyakunin Isshu poems that I add at the beginning of each poem introduction are from Chihayafuru or Chōyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi. anime subtitles (Crunchyroll)

Other translations are either my own, in which case translator is not mentioned, or the translator is referred to in the format of ([Author] [year], [page]). Full references can be found on this page.
